Grub

The Grub is one of the many Monsters in Hordes.io. They can be level 1, 2 (Cyan or Green) or 3 and are found in Guardstone.

Appearance

Green, level 1

A Light Green Grubling with the default Black eyes.

Green, level 2

Same as level 1 Grub.

Cyan, level 2

A big, Light Cyan Grubling with the default Black eyes.

Cyan, level 3

Same as level 2 Cyan Grub, except it is smaller.

Purple, level 3

A Purple Grubling with the default Black Eyes.

Location

This type of monster is found in Guardstone.

Vanguard

Green, level 1

In Vanguard, level 1 Grubs are found in the far Northeast of the map, near where Cyan Grubs and Vanguard's base are.

Green, level 2

In Vanguard, level 2 Green grubs are found in the far Northeast of the map (this time a little more to the South), near to where Level 1 Grubs and Cyan Grubs are.

Cyan, level 2

In Vanguard, level 2 Cyan grubs are found in the East of the map, near where level 1 Grubs and Babel are. It is possible that this is the Vanguard variation of the level 2 Green Grubs, but Green Grubs also appear normally in Vanguard.

Cyan, level 3

In Vanguard, level 3 Cyan grubs are found in the East of the map (this time more South in relation to big, level 2 ones). It is possible that this is the Vanguard variation of the level 2 Green Grubs, but Green Grubs also appear normally in Vanguard.

Purple, level 3

In Vanguard, Purple grubs are found somewhere in the East of the map, near where level 5 and 3 Mature Grubs and a Disguised Golem are. It is possible that this is the Vanguard replacement of level 3 Mature Grubs and Woodworms.

Bloodlust

Green, level 1

In Bloodlust, level 1 Grubs are found in the far Northwest of the map, near to where level 2 Green Grubs, level 2 Mature Grubs and Bloodlust's base are.

Green, level 2

In Bloodlust, level 2 Green grubs are found in the far Northwest of the map (this time a little more to the Southeast), near to where Level 1 Grubs and Ghastlings are. It is possible that this is the Bloodlust variation of the Cyan Grubs, but also appear in Vanguard normally.

Mature Grub, level 3, and Woodworm, level 4

It is possible that Woodworms and level 3 Mature Grubs are the Bloodlust replacement of Purple Grubs.

Tips

• Both level 1 Grubs are one of the first ways to get EXP alongside level 2 Green Grubs and level 2 Mature Grubs (Bloodlust) and Cyan Grubs (Vanguard, small ones) because they are located near Vanguard / Bloodlust's base. Just beware of amount of players fighting them.
• If the starter spot (mentioned above) is occupied by other players, Grub Younglings can be an alternative, but be cautious, as multiple of them hitting you + a Grub Mother can leave you with a low HP and this is a serious problem when you are with a low level.
• Purple Grubs are more advanced and are recomended to farm once you get a bit stronger and with a new spell you can (like Precise Shot)

Trivia

• Level 1 Grubs are one of the weakest and low level mobs, alongside the Grub Younglings (found in Guardstone), the Gnome Archer and the Gnome King (both found in Headless).
• Level 1 / 2 Green Grubs and level 2 Cyan Grubs are one of the mobs that never appeared with a Yellow-colored level, alongside the previously mentioned mobs, Ghastlings and level 2 Mature Grubs.
• Those are one of the mobs that never appeared with a Red-colored level, alongside with the previously mentioned mobs, level 3 and 5 Mature Grubs, level 4 and 5 Grub Patriarchs, level 5 Infested Grubs, Disguised Golems, Blacksmith's Grubs, Babels, Bobbies, level 4 and 5 Grub Mothers, Woodworms and Identity Crisis Golems.
• This is the first Grubling and the first mob you see in hordes.io.
